ENOS FAMILY FARMS
A Certified Organic farm.
Here at Enos Family Farms, we are proud to provide you with a selection of produce that is fresh and always locally grown. Let's first define what "local" means to us. Any produce that we grow, or access from our Brentwood location, we consider as "local". We feel very privileged to be able to provide the largest percentage of our produce right here in Brentwood, on our very own site. All other produce is sourced from local Brentwood farms and our family farm in Winton.
While local can be a widely defined term, we see the basic concept as simple - local foods are produced as close to the home (and heart!) as possible. We are proud of our community of small, local farms that are run by farmers who work hard in preserving our land. We strive to keep our open spaces in agriculture use and preserve these small areas as best we can.
For us personally, there is without a doubt a peace of mind in knowing where our food comes from. The biggest benefit to buying produce locally, is having an actual person give you the history of that food, being able to answer questions about how that tomato was grown and raised, when it comes into season and perhaps why it tastes so fresh and good!
We are Certified Organic by the C.C.O.F. For us, organic is a beneficial practice that is genuinely family friendly. Ron has a strong commitment to his land and believes if he doesn't abuse it, it will provide for our family and our communities families for many years to come.
We look forward to your visit and sharing our produce with you soon.
RON M. ENOS
The farmer behind Enos Family Farms, is Ron Enos. Ron comes from a long line of farmers, being the fifth generation family farmer in the Brentwood/Byron area. Ron was educated in Agri-Business at San Luis Obispo, California in the early 80's. After a brief farming career in Southern California, Ron moved back to Brentwood to pursue a farming opportunity with his father. He successfully managed a 300 acre vineyard on the outskirts of Brentwood for approximately seven years, before moving to Australia with his family. There he established his own viticulture business, running his own vineyard and managing another ten vineyards in the area, along with producing his own wine under the label of Enos Family Wines. After living seven years in Australia, Ron and his family decided to move back to Brentwood to establish their farming business with a vision of providing quality, locally grown produce to their community and beyond.
